Get Life Coaching

When I began working as a Professional Organizer I soon realized that disorganization can spill into many areas of one's life and I found myself working not only with their possessions but also discussing other areas of need.  To better serve my clients I sought training as a Christian Life Coach, and for the last several years I have used those skills for both my organizing clients and for those seeking coaching with other areas of their lives.  As a Christian Life Coach I help my clients achieve personally meaningful results in many areas:

  • Career Planning & Transition
  • Life Purpose & Passion
  • Business Building - I also have an MBA
  • Motivation & Time Management
  • Overall Health & Self-Confidence
  • Spirituality & Creativity
  • Relaxation & Fun

Life Coaching inspires you to become aligned with your values, goals, and vision, and Christian Life coaching adds the spiritual dimension that many people are seeking. The synergy, commitment, and focus of the life coaching relationship helps you accelerate your progress and make strides you never thought possible.

What makes the Christina Life Coaching so effective?
In the coaching partnership, the focus is totally on you and what you you are trying to achieve in your life.  As a Christian Life Coach, I seek to help people find the purpose that God has for them.  I believe that we are all uniquely designed to play a part in creation and that when we align our desires with those of the Lord, we can do great things.  I am not trying to "fix" you or "treat" your problems, I am teaching you how to seek the Lord for direction and develop a life that pleases him.   Learning the disciplines of a life that follows God's plan will help you to set a course for a future that in line with God's plan for your life.

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man (or women) sharpens another."  Proverbs 27: 17 My job is to sharpen you for our future.

How does the coaching process work?
We begin your journey with a complimentary "discovery" designed to give you an opportunity to discuss your goals for coaching, get to know me and determine if I will fit your needs and if our values are similar.  After this initial process, we hold ongoing weekly sessions to maintain momentum and produce the results you desire.

An integral part of our process is ensuring that you feel rooted and anchored in what is most important to you - your most deeply held values*. For the believer, our values are intimately entwined in our faith in Christ, and we must consider how our values line up with our faith and if our goals are congruent with what we believe.   Once you have identified your values, we look at your goals, your chosen life activities, assess how they fit together to support your goals for the future.

*Values are the essence of what defines who we are, and how we move through the world.

I try to help believers learn how to connect with their faith and develop the type of life habits and disciplines that help them connect to God and live a life that pleases him.

How Do Sessions Take Place?
With so much technology available today, it is not necessary to meet in person.  I coach clients from all over the world.  I meet my clients:

  • Both telephone and/or Skype
  • E-mail
  • In person if geographically possible.

How long has coaching been a profession?

The coaching profession is almost 10 years old now.  We have over 10,000 coaches worldwide.

I received my training from PCCCA (Professional Christian Coaching and Counseling Academy) which emphasizes the value of including one's spiritual dimension as part of the equation for determining life decisions.  For the believer it is not enough to set our own goals, we much seek the guidance of God in order for our lives to be both fulfilling and productive.  For those who want to leave a spiritual legacy it is important to align your goals with His.

What makes coaching so effective?
Have you ever started a diet but didn't stay on the plan? Joined a gym and stopped going after the first month? Coaching inspires the natural motivation that is within you and helps you stay “on track” and actually accomplish your personal goals.

What do sessions involve?
Although the client is the one who determines the areas they wish to work on, I often lead and close each session in prayer and ask for God's direction.  We then work together to determine how to best meet the clients need.

How long do I continue?
I encourage a three – six month commitment. However, the time commitment is really up to you and we will customize it to fit your specific situation. You can continue for as long as you feel you are receiving value. Making changes takes time, coaching helps you to reinforce lasting changes as opposed to temporary fixes.

How is psychotherapy different than coaching?
"Psychotherapy is looking through the rearview mirror at life and coaching is looking through the front windshield," says Judy Rosemarin, who teaches coaching at New York University's Center for Career Education.  Christian Life Coaching is no different.  Coaches are most often not therapists (unless they have specific training in that area) we simply direct clients forward.
